The prevailing peaceful atmosphere in the ongoing rerun election in
Rivers State has been shattered with the reported killing of a man in Bodo, Gokana LGA, by armed men suspected to be operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The operatives stormed the Saint Pius College at about 11.45am, ordered everybody to lie down, and began to shoot sporadically before carting away some election materials.
The man shot was identified as Meebara Kormaga, a 25-year-old voter.
