Former governor of Lagos State, Sir Michael Otedola, who died on
Monday, 6 May, 2014 at the age of 88 has been buried.
He was buried Friday at the Catholic Church cemetery at Odoragusin in Epe, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.
Earlier in the day, a funeral service was held for him at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ibowon, also in Epe.
Funeral
rites for the late Otedola began on Wednesday at Onikan Stadium where
the Lagos State Government organised what it called ‘Day of Tributes’
for the late former governor.
At the event dignitaries
from all walks of life paid glowing tributes to the man who governed
Lagos between January 1992 and 17 November, 1993.
After
the interment, guests were being entertained at a reception by King
Sunny Ade and Haruna Ishola at the time of filing this report.
