News coming in from the All Progressive Congress (APC) venue of the primary in Lagos have it that Akin Ambode emerge at the winner of the primary which was a keenly contested election between him and
other contestant, Akin Ambode was closely followed by Babatunde Hamzat.

Akin Ambode won the primary with a total vote of 3,735 and closely followed by Babatunde Hamzat who pull a vote of 1,201. The election was monitored live on TV continental in Lagos State.
