The Governor of Rivers State and Director General of the APC
Presidential Campaign, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, did not allow an
assassination attempt to stop his final campaign for General Muhammadu
Buhari.
After assassins who attacked his convoy with guns,
machetes and bottles were repelled, Governor Amaechi walked the streets
of Port Harcourt, canvassing votes for the APC Presidential candidate.
Governor
Amaechi said the information available to was him to be intimidated out
of the country so would not cast his vote for his preferred candidates.
He capped the campaign by leading the APC faithful in an evening rally that had all the atmosphere of a carnival.
Amaechi
encouraged the public not to be intimidated by those who would use
violence to avoid defeat, but rather to turn out in their numbers and
vote for Buhari, who would end tyranny and impunity in Nigeria.
He warned that Nigeria would be in for rough times if change is not effected.
