Rival cult clash has claimed two lives in Ebute Metta area of Lagos,
Southwest Nigeria.
The
clash of superiority between Eiye and Black Axe Confraternity, it was
gathered led to the death of Gbolahan, popularly called ‘Sepe’ and
Musibau at the early hours of Friday.
Eye witnesses said the two victims, after being shot at close range on Ibadan Street in the area were matched and left to die.
Their bodies were later taken away by police from Denton Police Station.
Many lives have been lost to rival cult clashes in Ebute Metta in recent times.
The
killing of the duo has brought the total number of people killed to 82
by cult groups and gang in Lagos in the last seven months.
Governor
Akinwunmi Ambode had vowed to deal with gang and cult groups still
brandishing dangerous weapons across the state and issued them two weeks
ultimatum to surrender their arms or face the wrath of the law.
The ultimatum had since expired and armed youths have surrendered their weapons to the government.
