The attackers hit the school with explosives and followed this up with gun attacks on Wednesday afternoon as the students fled in different directions to escape from the explosions.
About 13 students were killed in the school, which is not far away from Bayero University in the same city.
The insurgents attacked the college of education around 3PM. Spokesperson of the JTF Ikechukwu Eze confirms the explosion.
