The deputy director, public relations department of state security service (SSS) Mrs Marilyn Ogar said the SSS are still very much in
charge at his base over the incident that occur on Sunday yesterday 30/3/2014.
She said this in a programme monitored on Radio this morning while she was called live on the show. According to her an inmate at the SSS headquarters in Abuja disarmed an officer who went to serve the inmate breakfast.
She said the in mate uses his handcuff to hit the officer on his head and try to get away from the prison, he also free others, but the security operative responded immediately to curb the situation and put it under control immediately. In the process 21 Boko Haram inmate were killed in gun battle.
She however said investigation is going on, and the press will be inform on what and what happen according to her all hand are on deck.
