Three people have been killed and several others injured in an
avalanche in the French Alps, reports say.It struck at around 14:00BST on Wednesday in the Ecrins National Park, reports Le Monde newspaper (in French).
Rescue teams and sniffer dogs were sent to the scene near Villar d'Arène, amid fears more people could be missing.
The park is popular with skiers and mountaineers with peaks of over 3,000m (9,842ft).
