Bobby Brown believes Nick Gordon harmed his daughter Bobbi
Kristina before her death, according to his attorney.
"In regards to the civil
litigation, we believe we know who harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown and his
name is Nick Gordon," lawyer Christopher Brown said in a statement.
He added that Gordon filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit suing him
for $40 million in damages before withdrawing it, which he did "so that
he could avoid having to give his deposition which was scheduled for
the day he withdrew the Motion," the attorney said. "Gordon will now
have to give his deposition under oath."
Bobby Brown added: "I look forward to having the Court hear the evidence in the civil lawsuit and hopefully the criminal action very soon."
Bobbi Kristina, Brown's daughter
with Whitney Houston, passed away on July 26 - nearly six months after
she was found face-down in the bathtub at the Roswell, Georgia home she
shared with Gordon.
A lawsuit, which was originally
brought in June by Bobbi Kristina's conservator, accused the 25-year-old
of his girlfriend's wrongful death, claiming that he had given her a "toxic cocktail" before putting her in the full bathtub.
Nick Gordon has never been arrested or charged in connection with Bobbi Kristina’s death. He has denied any wrongdoing. His attorney has called the lawsuit against him "slanderous and without merit."
