State South West Nigeria died on Sunday 20th September, 2015 after a ghastly motor accident along lagos Ibadan express road while he was returning from an Islamic program in Lagos. The professor was said to have been in his car with two other friend and his son of 6 years old sitting beside him when the accident happened, he died with his son on the spot when the accident happened.
He was however buried according to Islamic rite on Monday 21th September at OTM burial ground Boluwaji Ibadan, Oyo State.
He hold lot of position apart from been a professor of Economic, he was also a lecturer university of Ilorin, Chairman Al- Barikah Micro finance Bank, consultant with central bank of Nigeria and Federal inland revenue. Prof Abdulakeem was born in Ogun State in 1966 and did his bachelor and master degree in Economic at University of Ibadan.
